For those who still enjoy the occasional BigMac or the frequent beef burrito, this one's for you. The Meatrix is a spoof on the Matrix film with Keanu Reeves, and takes the viewers through the tainted meat industry. Watch and learn kids, it will help you make that decision the next time you need a protein boost.

Bejing 2008

a stadium for the Beijing Olympics.

China is gearing up for the Beijing Olympics. And by gearing up I mean scrambling to make the country look presentable. The lengths at which China is preparing for 'the games' is extensive.

--> China is pau$ing all construction
Month's before the August Olympics, China will stop all construction in the country in an attempt to ease the dust problem lingering in the local Beijing air. Beijing is supposedly one of the most polluted cities in the world; a problem that China would rather not advertise to the world in August. While the air might benefit from this temporary pause, how is this economic coma going to effect the local, national, or global (US) economy?

-->China is SEEDING its CLOUDS.
With the aid of scientific intervention China will prevent rainfall during the Beijing Olympics. This will be done by cloud-seeding, in which silver iodide is injected into the cloud, via airplane, in an attempt to prevent hail or rainfall from reaching the ground. Originally devised to prevent hail from ruining crops in the Kentucky fields, the seeding technique is now being applied to the flower beds in Beijing. Flowers that would normally be dead by August, will now be alive and ready to entertain the masses come August.

SF RUN.

This is a movie clip of the Olympic run in London. So much drama surrounding these torch sprints, its a shame that people have to resort to the Olympics to make their voices heard. A sign of how well Democracy is working then huh.....

Olympic drama.

Three individuals from the Students for a Free Tibet organization climbed the cables of the Golden Gate Bridge today to protest the Olympic torch that will make its way through SF tomorrow. The protest is actually more pointed towards the Chinese occupation of Tibet and the good publicity that China will receive by hosting the Olympic games this summer. The three activists were up on the wires for three hours and walked onto the bridge with a baby carriage holding their poster paraphernalia. It took IRONWORKERS, who were working on the bridge, to remove the climbers from the wires.
