DRESS.LIKE.Mì

Ms. Kelly Malone of WorkshopSF.

The Bold Italic did a funny little page on where locals shop for clothes. I'm sure everyone goes through waves with their fashion, the high points when you feel like a star of today, the low points when you feel like a throwaway. It's a pretty good grasp on some places to shop for those ballin, and those on a budget - from people who are both working in the industry, or running their own. Some of my stomping grounds are def on this list...

Green Tea got HYPHY

I handed the guy at the coffee shop a couple $1's for my Green tea and he stops and goes "haha, look at this," but he thought it was just a doodle. I squealed, and yank the one back, "aaahhh it's Mac Dre on a dollar!!!!" The dudes laugh, but then one of 'em goes, "are you taking the dollar back?" Hell ya i took that shit back (I dropped a different dollar in the tip jar, stop trippin).

and in case you didnt know, this is why I dance the way I do, and any other sf native - ask Ms.Joy.

DIA DE LOS GIGANTES

Went to the game last week. It was a Wednesday, midway through a four-game series with the Chicago Cubs, and the murdered us in the first two games. Eric and I show up around the 3rd inning grab a Chicago dog [shit i just realized we got a chi-dog at the chi-game, giants fan don't mess] and right as we had our dogs and our beers in our hands, the Giants hit 2 solo homers. I nearly lost my dog, nomsayin. We made it to our seats, after a trek to the top tier, and you could see the Sutro Tower peakin from the fog right above the Stadium - so beautiful.

The working-mans- bridge.

This aint no Golden Gate type of shit. This is about the middle-class-bridge. The working-class bridge. The Homie-Bridge. The I-don't-give-a-fuck-about-what-you-think-bridge.

The Bay Bridge is taking shape. My father is an iron-worker in SF [Local 377!], and worked on the Bay Bridge in the developmental stages a couple years ago. He said that the bridge is supposed to be completed by 2013 (assuming the world doesn't end in 2012). The new span is now lit up to accommodate round the clock work in order to reach the completion goal.
