Soft Boiled.

Go get yourself some bougie eggs, because those should be enjoyed when simply prepared. Put that egg in a pot of water and bring it to a boil. Once boiling, let the egg sit for about 2.5 minutes. Take that egg out, hack the top off, salt and pepper that sh#t and enjoy with some buttered toast. The white should be set, sometimes giggly, but fully cooked nonetheless. Best when eaten out of a soft boiled egg holder.

holla.

SATC II

I tried to hold out. I thought I didn't care. I never once screamed when I saw an ad on TV.

But now it's here, and I have plans with the ladies - each and every lady - to see this movie. Sex and the City, Two. Oh it's gonna suck. It's gonna suck real bad, but that's not the point. The point is that we are gonna see so many new electronics, sodas, outfit's, and cars that we have yet to see in any other television show or blockbuster. The point is that people are gonna be talkin' about this around the water cooler, bus stop, and coffee kiosk. The point is, is that for years we watched a show that gave us scenes like this:

I spy with my little eye...

I grabbed this pick from the Sartorialist. The chick is draped in a boring black dress and white converse, oh where could this be?? EUROPA, DUH! I am glad to inform you that fashion is fortunately NOT the topic of discussion here.

What seems unique about this photo? It's obviously not her outfit, so take a second and observe...

Anything?

Look at what she is leaning on, that's an MF'n bike parking spot. The photo was shot in Berlin, and as you can see, the whole side of the street is lined with bike racks. This is the 'go big or go home' kind of mentality that San Francisco has yet to embrace when it comes to alternative infrastructure supporting public transit and bicycles.

What if ALL of Divizadero was lined with bicycle racks instead of a little parklet? Same goes for Market street. As you can see, there are also no cars parked on that street. Come on SFBC, I'm dying for you to propose an outlandish request that the picture suggests above. This is why SF is at a tipping point with alt. infrastructure, because so many other cities have surpassed us.

La Comida: Farm Edition

My work turned two years old this week, and as a celebration, we went up to Bob Cannard's farm. Bob is an independent farmer with probably the most bougie list of clients; most notably, Chez Panisse and Camino. He grows fava's and potatoes, opium and mota - I mean flowers and herbs. It was a potluck, so me and some of the homies banned together to make sando's. I hope you get hungry.

SOLID GOLD (aka Golden Girls)

My homegirls devised a master plan: get the crew together and dress in solid gold for Bay to Breakers. Sunday, May 16th at about 7am I turn off my alarm about five times and finally get up around 830am. I pound a mimosa with the roommate and head down to Jackies where the SOLID GOLD crew awaited. More mimosas and greyhounds ensued and we found ourselves at the top of Alamo Square enjoying a wonderful dj and the crowd that slowly passed us by.

Here is the evidence:
