Sooooo new food trend: street food; bougie street food that is. I believe it was a team of diva-chef's started this movement in a food truck, and then moved it into a Chinese resto on mission st, encouraging critics to question whether it can still be dubbed 'street food' anymore. None the less, a different head chef hosts the menu every week, bringing their own flare to the mix: asian, new-american, and this week --> soul!
menu highlights:
--smoked Duck BEIGNETS with sheep's milk cheese
--gulf prawns with GRITS, kumquats, blood orange, bacon, scallions.
--DIRRRRTY Rice with rare grass fed beef, mint, sweet onion, chiles.
nothing costing over $14. Diva for $14 or less, HOLLER!

this reminds me of this truck that drives around dc and parks wherever it wants and sells organic local fair trade food, whatever is fresh and tasty. it rocks, but it never comes to my hood. wonder why.
