Supposedly, due to a budget compromise, MUNI will raising fairs yet again, beginning in July of 2009.

Adult: from $45 to $55
Child/Snr: From $10 to $15

I understand that MUNI is still a good bargain, but the continual fare increases are beginning to ware on me. Who finds paying more for a service that continually gets worse rational? MUNI's now popular move of cutting service and raising its prices is a leathel recipe to loose patrons. It might be a necessary evil though, because, MUNI is also operating at capacity, and is only gaining ridership with the rising price of gas and spikes in unemployment.
