ECO-PARK: robot bicycle storage service

What if there was a device that stored bikes underground!!!? Well if you've dreamt it, than it probably already exists in Japan. Eco-Park can store over 120 bicycles underground. It costs about $29 a month and takes only seconds to operate/retrieve your bike.

Over 90% of people commute by train and 30% of all Tokyo residents commute via bicycle. To put that into perspective, Portland, Oregon, arguably the 'Greenest' city in the nation, has a 10% mode split, that is, 10% of commuters travel by bicycle. San Francisco rests at a meager 5% mode split, but the SF Bicycle Coalition aims for 10%.

Since so many people travel via bike, storage and parking is a growing and ever present problem. Eco-Park is the robotic answer to popularity of two-wheelers. I wonder if that thing could handle a Scraper Bike?
