2000-Fine and counting...

"September is the Monday of monthes" Jeff Scher

Which makes me wonder, WTF have I done this year? Two-thousand-and-nine.... So far, I rekindled my affection and dedication to bikes, I helped organize a campus-wide bike event, I graduated college, I played, I went to Japan, I played some more, and now I sit here, on Cole and Frederick listening to cops scream "Get on your knee's! Do what I tell you, I'm the cops!" with Kanye blasting in my ear, and then I think - what's new?

I am at a crossroads. I found what I was interested in school, I conquered it. I needed to escape the city, and I handled that too. Now I need to organize my thoughts/goals/wants and decide what my next step should be, and then do that too.

Now Amanda Blank/SantiGold "I'm a Lady" pops into my ear. Hey, that's new. Oh yeah, I met Amanda Blank the other night. My friend was impressed at how easy it was for me to go up to someone and just talk. People have laughed at me for doing that in the past, and not everyone is open to talk to me (ego-trippppiinnnn). But homegirl was on the grind like the next person, trying to hustle more fans, so she was open for the convo. She hated on Kid Cudi's new music and told me about this band Ninja-Sonic, that name, that name - I would name my kid Ninja-Sonic. I could mos def talk to people for a living. YeahYeahYeah, wouldn't that be nice..

But I'm still at a crossroads, restless for what is to come. Sometimes you don't have time to wait for opportunities, you must create your own. And now it is September, again, the Monday of months. People in my life are going their own directions. Some have moved out of SF, some are returning back to school, some are traveling, and everyone else in and out of my life seems to be going to burning man.

Fuck Burning Man, lets go to NYC!

"Tired of living this country life
Its time to move up from the South
It seemed to have something for us
but now its time to hit the bus
Come on boy, just take me home
to the city, that's where we belong!"
