Met a friend for lunch at noon and found myself in Oakland with an empty day. I road from downtown to Rockridge on a perfect spring day, and went on a date with the five-one-ohhh. The colorful houses, the new gentrification invasion in the form of bougie coffee shops, the pastel cars and trucks. Oakland, you are an eclectic departure from the status quo in SF. And for that, I appreciate you.
